Position: Production & Quality Testing Technician

Advanced BioMatrix, Inc. is located in Carlsbad, California and has a focus on providing high quality hydrogels for cell culture, bioinks for 3D printing and matrix proteins, (e.g. collagens, fibronectin, vitronectin, glycosaminoglycans, cultureware) to research customers primarily doing cell culture and basic research.

The company is looking for a technician level employee with experience to assist in the continued growth of the company and expansion of its core capabilities and product lines.

Responsibilities

Perform manufacturing duties including protein purification, lyophilization, filtration, ultra/dia-filtration, centrifugation, ion exchange processing, autoclaving and production/equipment prep.

Perform product packaging, labeling and kit assembly.

Perform product testing and analytical methods including protein analysis, fibrillogenesis, pH, osmolality, rheometry, gel formation, sterility, cell culture, electrophoresis and visual inspections.

Administrative duties include the completion and maintenance of production and testing documentation and records.

Ensure that raw material inventories and supplies are maintained.

Maintenance, calibration and cleaning of equipment, facilities and production areas.

 

Requirements

A minimum of 1-2 years experience in a research or medical laboratory.

Enjoy working in the laboratory, performing technical operations in a manufacturing and testing laboratory.

Ability to work as part of a small focused team to perform production, testing, general lab duties, new product development and interfacing with customers.

Excellent problem solving, written and verbal communication skills.

Trustworthy, maintains confidentiality of company information and accepts responsibility for work.

Mechanical aptitude and able to handle or move large pieces of equipment and containers of materials.

 

Work Schedule and Payments

Work schedule: Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with occasional shifting of work schedule to accommodate production and infrequent work on weekends.

Competitive compensation, hourly employee and bi-monthly payments.
